Used it to connect a ChromeBox hanging off the back of my monitor to the DVI input. Cable is much thinner than the HDMI to HDMI I was using, but the image seems unaffected (no sparkles/image degradation) a 12″ cable with right angle connectors would have been a 5 star ideal for this particular application but this cable works well enough.

This allows folks to use their older monitors without any apparent loss of picture quality. I have used quite a few of this type of cable to allow clients to user their existing monitors that don’t have DDMI or Display Port built in.

This is actually a really nice cable. I’m currently using it to connect Raspberry Pis to a spare monitor that happens to have DVI input. Works flawlessly on Pi 2s, Pi A+s and the original Pi model B (first version). Good picture and locates the Pi right next to the monitor so it can work more like a desktop PC replacement. If you’re looking to order the 50′ or 100′ lengths, you need help. But if you’re just looking for an inexpensive way to get a monitor on something like a Pi, Beaglebone Black or some other micro-PC, this is an awesome option. Looking to get more of them to equip more Pis with monitors.
