- Utilizing the latest optical sensing technology, the HP USB Optical Scroll Mouse records precise motion over a variety of surfaces without a mouse pad.
- Optical tracking – Reduce sticking and constant cleaning with optical tracking – a system that works through light with less moving parts for greater durability than ball-based mice.
- Users benefit from a smooth, contoured shape that fits both hands – and a wheel that functions as a third button.
- The optical sensor within the HP US Optical Scroll Mouse employs a scan rate of 800dpi and enables crisp motion without a mouse pad, ball or roller.

This mouse is good for the most part, but the left mouse button is flakey. I hold down the button to drag a file or window around and the cursor lets go of the thing I’m dragging. It’s as if I released the button even though I didn’t. Sometimes the button releases and activates again quickly enough to register as a double click. It doesn’t happen every time. It only happens often enough to be an annoyance. I would find some other mouse to buy if I were you.

It may sound silly to people comfortable with computers, but I bought this mouse in December but was afraid to install it. I wasn’t sure if you just plugged it in or if you had to go into tools or settings or whatever. See, I’m not a computer person. However, today, February 29, 2020, I plugged it in and it works perfectly. I purchased it because it was a HP product, not some generic brand. I’m happy with my purchase.

L’ho confrontato con un originale HP ed è identico; sull’etichettatura del sacchetto compare il codice 672652-001 come dovrebbe essere. Al momento funziona bene; speriamo duri quanto il suo predecessore (5 anni).

Use this mouse for my embroidery machine. Tried several other ones and they didn’t work on my machine. This one works great! Highly recommend.

I don’t understand the need for over priced and over designed mice. This one is reasonable priced and works fine. That’s all one needs for a basic essential item.

These days so many of the mice you’ll find online have multiple extra buttons on them that I just find unnecessary. I wanted a mouse that was just a regular mouse from a good brand that will last for years to come. This is that mouse. I happen to be using it on a Mac, and it works fine. I’ve also used the same mouse on the HP computers at my school, and it did the trick then too. My only complaint, if it really is one, is that the clicks are a little loud for my liking. They’re not ridiculous by any means, but if you’re clicking a lot it could get annoying for others in the room.
