I’ve got a huge smarthome setup and have automated quite a few things, so when I ordered this I kind of knew what I was getting myself into. I ordered the product and just let it sit for a while because I was dreading the typical setup > get confused > something goes wrong > troubleshoot for hours loop that typically comes with this kind of product so when I finally got around to installing it, I was pleasantly surprised.
The setup was super easy and instructions were clear and concise. It came with everything you need and there were no serious issues.
Attached some videos to show the smooth running. I was actually concerned it would struggle with the bump in the curtain rod where the smaller one goes into the bigger one but it had zero issues with it.
I also ordered the solar charger to go with it and it snaps right it and hangs from the base of the device, keeping it in sunlight to charge with almost zero installation outside of unboxing and plugging it in.
A couple important notes for others that I didn’t know before buying: these aren’t issues at all, but just stuff to be aware of that I didn’t see or didn’t think about before hand.
1) If you have a support in the middle of your curtains (like a 3rd bracket in the middle to hold your curtains up), you’ll need a second SwitchBot to open both sides and can’t use just a single one.
2) The solar charger does hang down from the main switch bot and would be visible during the day if you had sheer curtains. Some folks may not like that. Also, if your SwitchBot is defaulting to having your curtains all the way to one side or the other, it may not have the solar charger in the window long enough to charge. You CAN fix this, however, because they’ve got a really neat feature built in where you can tell it to auto charge during the day by bringing the SwitchBot into the sunlight no matter where it’s at, when it needs to. This just means your curtains won’t be at your preferred setting for a bit while it charges, but it really beats taking it down and charging.
3) Lastly, you do need a slightly thicker curtain rod – not crazy thick, maybe about the size of a US nickel or a little smaller. I have a pretty thin curtain rod on one side where I started, but it’s the telescopic kind so the other side is thicker and I flipped it over and it was fine. The little arms that hang on the rod actually have a lot of room to adjust to account for a lot of sizes, but they can only get so small so if you’ve got very thin curtain rods, be advised.
That stuff all told, I’m very happy with mine and am planning to buy a few more now to fill up my curtains! I’m enjoying it quite a bit!

I’ve had a horrible experience with this company’s support and honoring their warranty. The curtain bot was fine out of the box, then stopped working properly just 1 month into owning it. It now only opens up halfway when triggered by the automatic scheduler. Have exchanged over 10 emails with their support team following their instructions on reinstalling it, updating the firmware twice, reinstalling it again, sending them a video of it not working, and they refuse to send a replacement. I’ve had an easier time replacing a defective TV that costs 20x more. They just keep asking me to jump through more hoops and spend more time taking very specific and time consuming videos of the product not working. Horrible company and low quality product. I’ve never had such a poor support experience.

Easy to install on rod style curtain, and super easy to use. Works well without integrating into Alexa, HomeKit etc, by simply setting an open/close schedule, however it can also be integrated via addition of a hub. Also has a silent operation mode which is almost undetectable if the default operating mode is too loud in the morning. Overall very satisfied with this product.

This product is really easy to install (took probably 10 minutes total), the app is smooth and functions well, and the life of the battery is long so you don’t have to charge often. I was worried because our curtain rod had a connector piece to lengthen and so it wasn’t a perfectly smooth glide but this kit comes with a plastic piece to put over it and make it smooth. Works great! Would highly recommend to anyone with high ceilings or just doesn’t want to yank on curtains to open and close all of the time. I want to get them for our whole house!

I first tried a cheaper curtain robot brand and it was poorly supported and didn’t work reliably. The SwitchBot is so much better, it was a bit more expensive, but works perfectly!

Ürün ilanında Homekit yazıyor ama ekstra HUB bile alsanız sadece kestirmeler ile siri komutlarını destekliyor, onun dışında motor sesi baya yüksek hatta bir scene ayarladıysanız bir anda çalıştığında biraz irkilebilirsiniz. Onun dışında pil ömrü çalışma stabilitesi konusunda oldukça başarılı… Tavsiye ederim.

Update: Support for this product is incredible. It is working now pretty well without any problems without the beads with a curtain half the length.
Setup for this device is horrendous. Get ready to sacrifice hours trying to set this up to work and it won’t. Waste of time. Update, tried the easiest setup and it worked for half the distance, probably fine for very basic setups, however long distance rod with black curtains is a no. The beads included in the package do not work for this purpose and look terrible.

A voir pour la recharge dans son fonctionnement

Works great and installation was honestly a breeze. There’s a lot of info in the instructions so it might seem overwhelming at first but you realize it’s because they write the instructions for EVERY single curtain type. It’s really straightforward and I didn’t use the beads for my grommet curtains. Literally just snapped the thing onto my curtain rod, stuck the magnet sticker thingy on one end, and it was good to go.
The major gripe I have about this is that we were all misled into thinking this was Alexa compatible. it is not. You need to buy the hub to make it Alexa compatible. I also am not even sure how the hub would make this compatible, what extra functions I’d actually get through my Alexa if I were to connect this through a hub… it’s all very unclear. And because having everything streamlined through my Alexa is a priority for me, I had to knock off 2 stars.

Opens and closed curtains with ease. The quiet feature allows the bot to open at a much slower pace to ensure only a little noise is emit. It was also very easy to install.
Recommend purchasing the SwitchBot hub so you can connect it to your google or alexia.
