Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro’s launch is less than five months away and we are hearing more information about the phones as we move closer to the release. Now, a new piece of information about the next phone’s screen has surfaced. The iPhone 16 Pro is said to feature the narrowest bezel in any phone, surpassing the likes of Galaxy S24 and other Android devices.
iPhone 16 Pro to feature slim bezels
According to Ice Universe, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro will feature slimmer bezels when compared to the Galaxy S24. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a benchmark when it comes to the screen-to-body ratio and Apple may exceed it. However, the leaker didn’t reveal the exact details of the bezel in mm.
Another leaker called Setsuna Digital on Weibo has revealed that the iPhone 16 Pro will have a screen border of 1.2mm, whereas, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 1.15mm screen bezel. Now, that’s way narrower than the existing iPhone 15 Pro, which has a 1.71mm screen bezel. The iPhone 14 Pro from last year has a 2.15mm screen bezel.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, it has a 1.5mm screen border. This means the iPhone 16 Pro’s screen could be really impressive. However, it might face some competition with the next Galaxy device the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is expected to have narrower bezels as well.
Other than this, this time around the screen size on the iPhone 16 Pro model may be increased from 6.1-inch to 6.3-inch. The iPhone 16 Pro Max may feature a mammoth 6.9-inch panel as opposed to the 6.7-inch screen of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Following will be the dimensions of both models – 16 Pro (149.6mm height, 71.45mm width, and 194 grams weight), 16 Pro Max (163.0mm height, 77.58mm width, and 225 grams weight).
Moving to the cameras, the iPhone 16 Pro duo is expected to have a better ultra-wide camera. The setup may go by a 48MP main lens, a 48MP telephoto lens, and a 48MP ultrawide lens. As you can guess, the 48MP ultrawide lens will replace the 12MP ultrawide sensor, which was unchanged for long.
Battery-wise, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to pack 3,355mAh and 4,676mAh battery capacities, respectively. Details about the fast charging support are unknown as of now. Apple is expected to bring some software-centric features to the next iPhones with iOS 18. We may see an improvement in Siri and RCS support.
Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro models may launch in September or October. We will also see the iPhone 16 and iPhone Plus at the event.
