Now before you freak out and think it’s a bad review it’s not what I mean by other options is that I actually use it as a carrying case for something other than esteem deck it’s perfectly formed to put a steam deck in the middle and two controllers on the outer edges and your cables and such up in the top mesh portion and it does work absolutely perfectly for that. The clamshell case is tough I can easily see being waterproof although I wasn’t willing to dunk it in a tank of water to find out but it’s very nicely styled and the colors and the materials are also done heavy duty so you get a really nice look from it.
In my case the other options are I actually use it to hold a multimeter and an etching tool because it will zip up it does have the nice carrying handle if you need it and there’s plenty room inside there I would almost take the inserts out to get the rest of the room but they look too nice and they actually do hold things in place from sloshing around. So this is an excellent multi-purpose case as well I could easily see you putting a switch and controllers in there or a ton of other things and be able to use that hard clamshell as a defense against anything getting broken all the zippers and such work smoothly I didn’t notice any defects or catches on them so a well-made case.

I don’t own a Steam Deck, but you know what? This case is absolutely perfect for my stud finder! Seriously! I can only assume it would also be great for anyone looking to store, protect, and transport their Steam Deck, but it’s also the perfect size for my new stud finder, too. The case itself has a rugged yet cushioned feel and the zipper feels very high quality. The zippered compartment is perfect for holding the instructional materials for…yes, you guessed it…my stud finder! So, yeah, for Steam Deck owners and and stud finder owners alike, I highly recommend this very durable, versatile case. No complaints!

This clam shell case is perfectly sturdy and well made. It is exactly as advertised, a storage or travel case with a few accessories. I like the double zipper for closing and the silicone grip for carrying. The outside of the case has a rain resistant coating that water beads up and is easily wiped off. There is room underneath the steam deck to put your power and charging cords and a few small accessories. The steam deck fit perfectly and when I close the lid I do not have to apply pressure to zip it close. I added a padding between the steam deck and lid to keep the steam deck from moving around when transporting. I would recommend this Clam shell case for purchase.

This case for the steam deck has a small compartment under the slot for the Steam Deck that can store small items like the charger and more. If you are looking for something no frills and just have additional space for accessories than this case might be for you. The compartment underneath is still somewhat small and can only fit the charger if you lay it on the shorter side and roll the cord in a way that it doesn’t add more height to the charger and can fit another charger with some spare space. The mesh netting also is nice to carry around other small, flat items. The one gripe that I have is that the bottom compartment doesn’t have an additional layer to cover it, so if you want to store anything metal underneath, it could shake around and maybe scratch the bottom of the Steam Deck. If you plan on putting items into a small bag before putting the Steam Deck over it, that could be a viable option to help protect your Steam Deck.
PROS: – Nice space upgrade from the official case – The injection molding for the Steam Deck feels nice and snug – Mesh netting is nice for smaller accessories – Bottom compartment is nice for accessories that are a little larger
CONS: – Would have been nice to have a cover for the bottom compartment to protect the underside of the Steam Deck – The outer shell of the case has a large brand name on it – Doesn’t have a SIM card holder like some other options on the market

I do not own a Steam-deck but I needed a good case for my Borescope to protect it from getting bumped around. This case was perfect! It has plenty of space for the Borescope, cords, tip, paperwork and space left over. It has an interior zipper space for paperwork and three compartments inside. It was perfect to fit my needs.

This is a fairly large case, but tbh, the Steam Deck itself is very large so I’m not sure how much differently this could have been designed to still fit the Deck and accessories while providing adequate protection. With that said, it does it’s job well. I can fit my Deck in this with a hard case already on the Deck. There is also plenty of storage space for my charger, headphones, and additional cables.
I got this to use while traveling and it does exactly what I want it to. If you don’t mind the large size, this can be a perfect travel case. It works for me and I’d absolutely recommend.

It seems super sturdy and fairly well made! And it’s very roomy. I know it’s meant for the steam deck but my sister tried to fit her switch and it fit! There’s extra room for games and other gaming accessories. Would be great for travel.
