Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event 2024: Here’s what to expect
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July event will have several products. This includes two foldable phones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6. Both will be succeeding the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, respectively. In Addition to this, we will also see the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra. Further, expect the Galaxy Buds 3 series and Samsung Galaxy Ring.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6
Starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the smartphone will feature a 7.6-inch main display with a better 2,600 nits of peak brightness, up from 1,750 nits on the predecessor. It will have a 6.3-inch outer display. Both will be AMOLED screens with 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will likely have a 50MP or a 200MP main camera assisted by a telephoto lens and an ultrawide lens. Samsung may employ the same battery capacity, but it may support 45W fast charging. Similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, this one will likely also cost beyond Rs 1.50L.
The Samsung Z Flip 6 will have a 6.7-inch main 120Hz AMOLED screen and a 3.4-inch outer AMOLED panel. It will most likely have 50MP dual cameras. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Expect a bigger 4,000mAh battery with 25W or 45W fast charging support. As for the price, expect it to cost around a lakh.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 7 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will be a big upgrade over the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The Ultra model will have a squarish outer bezel, probably built from sapphire and titanium, giving it a rugged look. The Watch 7, on the other hand, will likely have a standard circular design.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 series
Samsung will revamp the Galaxy Buds series with a new design on the Buds 3 models. The Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro will likely adopt an Apple AirPods Gen 3-like design, doing away from the in-ear design of the Galaxy Buds 2. The earbuds may be available in white, grey, and other solid colour options. As for features, expect better ANC and other added features. Expect the earbuds to start somewhere around Rs 10,000.
Samsung Galaxy Ring
Lastly, Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Ring at the Unpacked event. The ring was already teased a while back during the time of the launch of the Galaxy S24 series. Now, after almost 6 months, we will see it again. It will be a wearable that will help you track health data and make contactless payments. If the ring arrives in India, we may be able to do UPI payments with one tap akin to Smart Rings from other brands. However, don’t expect it to be affordable at launch.
