HyperOS is now available for POCO F4: How to download

POCO F4 has received a major software upgrade since its release in India more than two years ago. The Xiaomi spin-off has announced the HyperOS update for POCO F4, giving its users a sigh of relief. HyperOS, based on Android 14, brings a new user interface and smoother navigation than MIUI. It also has the latest Android security update for June, making the POCO F4 more resilient.

HyperOS for POCO F4

According to a Gizmochina report, some POCO F4 users have shared screenshots of their phone’s software update screen to show a new HyperOS update is available. The changelog, however, does not mention even a single feature that HyperOS brings, indicating it may not be ready for a wider rollout yet. According to the report, HyperOS is available to only pilot-tester users, meaning regular ones may have to wait a little longer. The update’s build number is OS1.0.2.0.ULMINXM. It is about 415MB and has the latest June security patch for “increased system security.”

How to download HyperOS

Go to your POCO F4’s software update settings. If the update is available for your device, it will show up automatically. Download it using a cellular or Wi-Fi connection (ensure your data is backed up) and install it on your phone. Alternatively, you can use the HyperOS Downloader app to download HyperOS updates. It is available from the Google Play Store and helps you find HyperOS updates for your phone. However, this is not an official app from Xiaomi, so if you are uncomfortable relying on a third-party app for software updates, you may need to wait for an official announcement for a wider HyperOS rollout for the POCO F4.
