“Back in my day” you didn’t have these fantastic cutouts to install screen protectors, you just had to be incredibly precise and hope that it works out.
My air purifier likely took out most of the dust that might land on the screen, but I wiped the screen down with the included alcohol wipe and then used the microfiber cloth in small circles until I was satisfied with the screen. Then I peeled off the transparent film and set it down on the steam deck and continued with the rest of the instructions.
All bubbles went away pretty much instantly the moment they got moved to the edges of the screen, except for one which I easily took care of with the included sticky tape to gently lift up the screen and then grab the piece of dust that landed on it.
Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

It’s my go to brand for screen protectors. All companies basically use the same glass it’s the install method that sets them apart. These are simple and quick and can’t really mess it up with the guide.

I have terrible motor skills, putting on screen protectors is something I dread because I never align them right.
This was so easy, just peel the film, align the plastic frame, and press down. Almost impossible to mess up.

I tried to mount both screen protectors on my steam deck, with the same result: poor attach on the screen, bubbles. One was also already scratched.
Stay away from this product, it’s absolutely not good.

This was the easiest to install screen protector inhave ever used. The AmFilm have the nice little holder that is very simple to install with finger presses horizontal and vertical, then it’s completed. The bonus is you get two, but I doubt you would need it, but it’s nice to have just in case.
My protip is one that I always follow, run hot water in a tub or shower to have steam, then install the protector in that room as there will be little to no dust. My first install was flawless, but my glass protector has a small blemish on the lower right side. It is very small and not noticeable and i am not detracting a star for this as this one came out perfect. I know you can spend less and be fine, but why not spend a few more bucks to get the perfect application the first time.
