This was such a treat to have while it lasted! It is easy to fly and land- even children could control it pretty well. It is light so a little wind will blow it off course pretty easily but it is so easy to control I was allowing them to practice indoors. Did a few plants loose leaves? Yes. Yes they did, but it was a sacrifice well worth it to see my husband’s child like glee! It probably had about 60 hours of flight time and the battery held it’s charge very well in that time. Unfortunately in one day the drone had a hard landing and stopped working AND one of the batteries just stopped taking a charge. It was a sad day. I’m not sure if my husband has quite recovered from the disappointment. To be honest the price of this little guy- its worth it. 60 hours of unbridled joy for less than $25? Sounds like a bargain to me.

For only $40 I didn’t expect much more than a basic starter drone. That is about what you get. It uses a generic app instead of a proprietary one like Sotaone, another drone make in this price range. It flies, it takes basic pics and vids. The app is not spectacular, but it works. Why only four stars? Unlike a FEW other drones at this price range, this one does not exude quality. ALL drones in this class seem a bit cheap because they have to be light plastic in order to fly. However, some look and feel a bit more plasticky that others. This one feels cheap. The Sotaone S350 drone for example in this price range DOES exude quality in its fit and finish. Even their controller does. This controller has the design where you pull a thin plastic sprung platform from the bottom of the controller that you set your phone into. It’s so flimsy though, that if you don’t pull it down exactly evenly, it binds. I get the feeling that if I pulled it too hard it would simply break off because it’s so flimsy. Other controllers give you a more solid way to attach your phone. It does what it was advertised as doing, and it relatively cheap inexpensive, so don’t want to knock off more than one star. Personally I would not buy this one. For around the same price you can get a Sotaone S350 for example that has more quality, holds your phone more securely and has a better app designed just for Sotaone drones instead of a generic no-name app.
One added negative in my opinion is when drone makers put fake antennas on their controller! Those two plastic “antennas” (see the pic) are just that, pieces of plastic. What is the point? To me, this feels a bit like false advertising which turns me off and makes me wonder what else are they trying to make me believe about their product.

Just what we needed! –
Initially I loved it, but after only a couple charges the motors started making screeching noises and it is unstable in flight. This isn’t the highest quality kit but for 40 dollars, I would consider it for a trial but you might be better off spending a little more for something better.
The camera quality is so so, 1080P fairly grainy, like a cheap cell phone camera, but I didn’t expect more. Flying it using the cell phone app proves a bit problematic but the controller works fine, I like how you can attach your phone to the controller too.

This aerial done is a great gift or inexpensive option for some who wants to start and learn to fly a drone. The drone is easy to set up and the batteries are easy to charge and last a good flight time. The case and accessories you get with the drone make it a complete setup. The drone capabilities are great and can be flown from the controller or the app on your phone. I highly recommend this as a starter drone being an inexpensive option and learning to fly the drone. The camera quality is decent and is great for getting drone footage. I recommend this product for the price and good quality.

We had so much fun out of this drone UNTIL I got it stuck in the tallest dang tree in the world. LOL. Yes, I am exaggerating on the tree being the tallest in the world, but it seems that way when there is no way to reach our drone. So, I can’t speak to the durability of this drone, but I sure can speak about how much our 8 yr old son loved it. I have no clue about the tech parts of this drone or how it compares to others…this was our first drone. But it was simple to put together and simple enough for our kid to fly it. He crashed it to many times to count but it always took the beating and started flying again. It came with two chargers, and it didn’t take hours to charge them either. Two chargers = huge plus. For my family, we decided to use the controller and not the app so I can’t speak to that either. Lastly, my kid is one of those kids who would much rather stay inside and play his switch, but this drone got him outside and he was outside having fun.
