Small tripod, works really well if you just use it holding with your hand and roaming with a go pro. I use it with GoPro hero 7 black and videos are steady.

Tripod is small and discreet. So very easy to use as very portable. Doesn’t bring attention to your GoPro so when creating hyperlapse videos whiles roaming on holiday, your videos will look very good.
Is light and weak but not weak as in easily breakable. Just weak as in compared to bigger tripods.

Sticky pads on the attachments are strong and sticky. Not much else to say apart from they just work. Good value for money. I would class this as a very portable tripod that works really well with the GoPro whiles roaming recording.

As the package does not include the threaded bolt to attach the GoPro to any of the components (tripod, or adapters). Make sure you have a bolt to attach your camera to the little tripod. It’s very small but very usable once you find a bolt like https://www.amazon.com/gopro-thumb-screws/s?k=gopro+thumb+screws

I really like this little tripod. I got this for my desk as I am using my GoPro as my webcam. It fits nicely and it’s not super bulky which makes it great for transporting. Just slip it in a bag and you’re ready to go!

There is no screw to mount the camera mount to tripod. Why sell a tripod and a base but not the screw to connect them. I’m checking other camera bases as I may have a screw if not it will be returned.

Lost my original tripod that was part of my set, so got this replacement. Its a must have for a GoPro, light, easy to use, and easy to pack a carry in a pocket, and its inexpensive. Attaches to GoPro with standard screw mount that GoPro owners already have.

It’s a set of tripod mounts & a mini tripod for your GoPro. What’s not to like?
    There’s a quick-release base and a regular non QR.

I purchased it specifically for the non-QR base.
I used it to attach a GoPro whilst using a flash and my CB Mini-RC bracket for POV videos while I’m working. It will catch the 70-200 f2.8 but it’s not the end of the world. Obviously shorter lenses might not have that issue. Of course, that can be alleviated completely by using a shoe mount and putting the flash on the Mini-RC…but depending on modifiers that might not work. Anyway, it did what I needed it to do. For the record, I’m using the new design Mini-RC and not the old style single piece bracket. That too works like a charm.

I’ve not tried the other mount or tripod out yet…but they both seem up to the task.

Works as claimed! Nothing to complain about. Included an extra flat mount for my GoPro which is awesome! I did experience a small bit of slipping with where the GoPro was, however it would only occasionally have this issue.

I had the (mis)fortune of getting a GoPro Hero 7 White from a raffle, and I was shocked that it only came with two adhesive mounts. The GoPro body shape is nice and compact for being mounted on a helmet or handlebars, but those same qualities make it rather difficult to hold by hand.

I went with this official GoPro kit because it solved two problems: the GoPro-specific mini-tripod adds much needed stability for time-lapses and it could double as a grip, and with included adapter, I could mount the GoPro to any of my existing tripods. The included tripod adapter is functional and worked as expected. The mini-tripod, on the other hand, is mediocre. It’s basic, cheap, made of plastic, and doesn’t really have any adjustability. When fully closed, the legs become a usable grip. When fully opened, the tripod is sturdy enough, but without rubber tips on the feet, the tripod is prone to slipping and even minor vibrations can cause it to walk across smooth surfaces.

I don’t understand why this kit isn’t included in the box with the Hero 7 White, since that model seems to be targeted at new GoPro owners and it’s not reasonable to assume new customers will know what accessories they need.

Wow I bought this hoping the tripod would have some of the usual GoPro ‘bombproof’ sturdiness. I was disappointed to open the pack and find an almost childish, flimsy ‘my first tripod’. Sure it may have some basic uses if you were desperate and I can say it is light (to the extreme) but seriously it is well below GoPro’s usually excellent quality kit. What I would say is the two accessories are good.

The Tripod Mount and Quick Release Tripod Mount are both super useful and as good as any other of the myriad of other mounts available for GoPro.

If you want the two mounts…the great buy it…..if you want a small light and relatively sturdy micro tripod you will be disappointed.

Sometimes you don’t want a huge tripod (i.e. GoPro 3-Way), instead, a small handle to help steady the camera when filming freehand and the option to pop out the legs for a steady static shot or to get yourself in frame. My Hero 5 mounted on this will fit in some of my Jean and chino pockets showing just how portable this item is. There are a couple of other mounts but I’ve not needed them. Just wanted the tripod.

Great as a tripod on relatively flat ground but anything uneven look elsewhere. Folded up into a handheld mount it’s vary slippery in the hand but not what you would buy this for. At this price range though I can’t argue with the lack of versatile features as a genuine Gopro tripod stand with a couple mounts for just over a tenner is great

  12. PrM5

Compared to cheap replicas in the market, original GoPro products are very well made but I seriously think that they are over priced. No other complaints otherwise.

  13. Bont

The tripod feels a little bit flimsy, but it’s only got to hold a GoPro, and that does means it’s light; so no excuse not to throw it in the backpack; although, perhaps I’ll place it carefully in the backpack! Another good point is that it does come with two other mounts that can be used with other tripods; which are useful.
