My husband loves keeping up with the NFL and enjoys playing Madden. Our previous Madden was becoming outdated, and I knew he wasn’t enjoying it as much. I got him a new one, and he has been enjoying how accurate it is to the players that are playing this year. It updates depending on which players are starting at that point in time as well, which he loved.

Another year, Another Madden game. This game franchise has been a steady get for me since the original Playstation back in the day. This game has come a long way, but for the last several years it’s been a retread of the previous years game, just with a new loading screen and updated rosters. This years version of Madden24 isn’t much better in that regard. Don’t get me wrong I like the game, but it is not worth the $70 price point. If you play on the PS4 or Xbox One then I feel real bad for you as this game is just terrible. It hasn’t been updated in years and it won’t be going forward, until it’s fazed out completely. That’s by design since the companies want you to buy new systems. The Series X & PS5 versions of Madden24 are significantly better then the last generation consoles, on game play mechanics and presentation. As I stated above, the game is a retread of everything in past versions of the game series, with minor tweaks to the franchise mode it’s literally the same game. Ultimate team is fun but the focus is getting the customer to spend $ on special packs to build a team, or play all the challenges and build that way. If you don’t mind spending full price for the game and love last year’s version then its a good buy. I would say wait for a sale, but it’s fun either way. It’s not like there’s another pro football game to play?
