Got this as a replacement for my lg g8x that I had for three years. Had this for a little over a month and it’s just as good in most areas and a little better. Only downside is the camera is not quite as good as the one on my lg. It is still a very good camera tho that should be said. Battery life is AMAZING. If the camera was a little better would have given it 5 stars. Value for money I think you can’t beat. All the features of a 1,000 dollar phone for much less.

Even tho I really don’t like motorola software. In order to turn off data minutes, you have to go into the system like t levels deep. It’s insane. I have dead spots in my house so usually I turn off data minutes at home to not use them when I dont want to be. Since I used to have only 1 gig and never went over, but. It being able to easily turn on and data usage, I went with unlimited since Spectrum was having a sale. So much better price on Amazon, warranty also, than thru the company. Saved $100 on the warranty and a out $100 also on the phone. Maybe more. Stylus works well. Sometimes is coming out and I don’t realize it but haven’t lost it yet.
It does let you know if the stylus is away from the phone so at least you know you lost it and can look? But the stylus works well.
Almost too many shortcuts except a few I would want, like, yeah data!
Not intuitive software but adjusting as you do. I happen to have loved the LG software. Oh well. Good phone. No dropped calls. No glass cover as I didn’t use the ones that came with this case but also no scratches yet. It’s all good. Happy.

While this is a good, feature-packed phone with lots of memory, in my case getting the 5G service to work with Verizon was a long and complicated process.
Verizon has a “bring your own phone” policy and indeed they set up my phone on my existing account no questions asked. However, I shortly discovered it did was not receiving 5G service. I had the phone for 2 months and was very frustrated with Motorola’s lack of support for this issue, and of course Verizon washed their hands of the issue because they want customers to buy their own lower-memory version. Long story short, I had to get two different SIM cards from Verizon before the phone worked on 5G – although it did work on 4G LTE just fine all along. I’m still not sure if the issue is with Verizon or with Motorola, but in the end, the phone now receives 4G and 5G service, supports WIFI calling, has a ton a built-in memory and is expandable with a micro SD card. It also has a headphone jack for those of us still using wired earphones. The camera is just OK, but that’s fine for my needs.
It’s a good value and a good phone, as long as you can get it up and running properly.

The phone is great. Photo is fantastic in my opinion. I think it better than iphone quality. The extra 256 gb sd is a plus. It lags sometimes but a reboot fixes it. Bought a second one as a gift for my aunt who wanted the extra space also. The stylus make it almost like a Note. I play genshin and path to no where with no issues.
For the price point. It beat most phone for me. If you compare it to a iphone or Samsung premium device. Just walk away. This isn’t want you want so what debate in on this.

bought as an open box. phone is great. the included 256gb sd card wouldn’t format. put a spare 128gb in and it would format so it’s not the phone

This is the best phone I have had for a while. The phone is very quick. The 120hz refresh rate makes the phone extremely zippy. Having 8gb of RAM and 512GB of total storage, this phone is a powerhouse. The Snapdragon processor has been able to handle everything I have thrown at it so far. The battery lasts a full day with regular to heavy use.
I’ve seen reviews about the camera not being great, but I rarely take photos with my phone. If that’s important to you, this may not be the phone for you. For everyday use and some use for work, I have no complaints. I also like that this phone has a 8mm headphone jack and an SD card slot as well. That’s hard to find in a new phone at this price point.

I was a very early adopter of the original Moto G Stylus (2020). Yes, that put me at a Sprint store right at the start of COVID trying to get the phone activated, which it actually failed to do at the store and it wasn’t until 24 hours later that I was finally able to activate it myself at home.
Well, if nothing else, the Moto G Stylus 5G 20202 phone was super easy to activate on T-Mobile and I didn’t even have to risk getting COVID to do it! Seriously, I’m like 98% completely satisfied with this phone.
It’s MUCH faster than the OG Moto G Stylus, even though the processor isn’t that significant of an upgrade. However there are other factors in the speed like it’s still a newer CPU and GPU, it has 8GB of RAM instead of just 4GB, it has 120mhz screen instead of just a 90mhz, etc. I also think Android 12 has something to do with the speed increase, too.
I love that it still comes with expandable storage via MicroSD on the SIM card tray, and I even still love the good ol’ headphone jack. USB-C is common these days, but it still has that. I do like the new stylus pen better than the OG stylus pen. I probably won’t use it much if at all, but I am glad to see the return of NFC to USA model.
The 5000 mAh battery is just incredible. I have literally carried my phone with me (and frequently used it) for 8 hours and it only goes down 15-20%. With my OG Moto G Stylus, I would lose 20-30% of the battery just overnight sitting on my nightstand. With this phone I literally lose 0-1% overnight. It’s crazy.
So what’s the 2% I don’t like? Well, I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t have wireless charging. Since I had that with the Motorola Nexus 6 phone, I’ve been missing it through having the Moto G5S Plus, the Moto G Stylus 2020, and now the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022. Yes, I realize it’s a mid-range phone, but it really doesn’t take much to add wireless charging. And the other 1% is the cameras in the new phone — they’re just not as good as the Moto G Stylus 2020 cameras and I can’t find a Gcam port that will fully support all 4 cameras. I also miss the portrait actioncam mode of the Moto G Stylus 2020. The cameras in the Moto G Stylus 5G 2022 are decent, if not even very good, but the OG Stylus simply had better camera hardware.
Lastly, I do love the seafoam green color. I’m tired of black (or even dark blue) phones, and it’s nice to shake things up a bit. I even when with a clear case so even when protected I’m still sporting a seafoam green phone.
