Great phone. Works perfectly out of box with T-Mobile. No issues with 5G. Excellent price. The only problem is the wall charger. I have to use the adapter comes with to make it fit. Not a standard US charger.

I love this phone, it works perfectly with T-Mobile here in the US. I just had to switch over my SIM card using the provided tool and wait a little bit for it to connect. It was exactly $300 USD when I purchased it, a great price for a great phone. (EDIT: I was worried about the phone not being compatible with the bands used by T-Mobile, but using the LTE Discovery app I have seen it connecting to LTE bands 66 and 2, despite them not being listed in the information here on Amazon. So, it seems to be compatible with more bands than the description says.)
I got the blue version with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, it’s beautiful and a major improvement from my Moto G Fast which had 32GB and 3GB. The memory extension boosts the RAM to a whopping 16GB total, which is way more than my actual computer has, and it’s amazing for multitasking, whether you’re gaming while listening to music and responding to texts or just switching between apps a lot.
One of the reasons I chose this phone was for the fingerprint scanner. Although the side-mounted location isn’t as convenient as the rear-mounted one on my Motorola, I’m getting used to it. It also seems less reliable than the Moto’s scanner, if my finger is a little sweaty or I hold it at the wrong angle, it’s likely to not recognize it, but when it does work, it’s super fast. The Motorola always had a delay of a second or two between me pressing the scanner and the phone actually unlocking, but with this it feels like I’ve barely tapped it and it’s instantly unlocked.
When I excitedly opened the Amazon box, the phone box was in there. It didn’t have any packaging around it, like those plastic bubbles or anything, but nothing was broken, so I guess it was fine that they did it this way.
A nice clear case was included, I’ll have to buy a screen protector separately though. (EDIT: after looking more closely I think it did actually come with a screen protector, I just didn’t notice before because it was already installed on the screen. I’ll probably still buy my own to replace it though, to get better protection.) Although it came with an extremely fast 67W charger that is compatible with American power outlets, I did not find the advertised 55W car charger anywhere in the box, so if you’re expecting one of those, you’ll be disappointed. Thankfully I don’t have a car so I didn’t actually need that.
I’ve already talked about how great the hardware is, now for the software. This is my first time using MIUI, and overall I like it, although there are some quirks. It came with a bunch of pre-installed apps, including Facebook, AliExpress, some kind of car rental service, and several games. Thankfully this bloatware was easily uninstalled, but honestly this phone has so much storage capacity I probably could’ve left them all on there without worrying about them taking up valuable space. Some of MIUI’s apps do have ads in them, but they aren’t too annoying, and I don’t find it necessary to use those apps anyway. (EDIT: if you dig around in the settings for those apps you can find an option to turn off ads, if they really bother you)
The biggest annoyance I’ve discovered is trying to use widgets. If you tap and hold on the home screen, it’ll let you edit the layout, and there’s a button that says “Widgets”. You’d expect this to show all the widgets provided by your apps, but no. It shows some weird MIUI widgets that don’t look useful at all. You have to scroll down to a section called “apps with multiple widgets”, tap “all”, then tap the subtle button at the bottom that says “Android widgets”. Now you’ve finally got access to all your beloved widgets. And yes, you have to go through this whole process every time you add one to the home screen. I attached screenshots showing each step of this process but Amazon put them in a random order so it’s confusing, I’m sorry about that.

I bought the phone which is undoubtedly very good, however, the fast car charger did not come in the box. I have tried for two weeks to contact the seller with the intention that they can send it to me, but they do not answer me.

If you’re in the US and on the fence about this, or a little unsure if it’ll work, this is the version you want. Note** this phone only works with T-Mobile and the resellers that use T-Mobile.. I don’t know about At&t but I can tell you Verizon for sure doesn’t. (I use it with T-Mobile out of the box and it works perfectly). The charging brick is the super fast 65watt charging and it’s for US outlets! All in all, if you’re a US buyer wanting to take the plunge on a phone by a manufacturer you see all the tech reviewers reviewing, buy this! The cameras are better than average and pretty much all other mid rangers, the screen is amazing, and the hardware and features are what you’d get with a flagship. All in all, an excellent buy.

To start off…..I read through a ton of reviews and things from other sites. “Xiaomi WILL NOT WORK IN THE US!”, “Xiaomi is a rip off” etc etc etc. This is 100% FALSE. It is all about the BANDS! There is a site out there that I cannot put in this review, but at Kimovil you can put in any phone model. Look at the GLOBAL models of said phone and look at the bands on that phone. Compare it to your provider, go with that.

To the shipper…..you did a great job. It was packed well, quick, you even sent the EU to US adapter for the 67w charger which was the EU model. Works like a champ. One thing you need to do though is make sure the bands in your description are on point. You could be missing out on sales. To everyone else….check that site, look at the bands, buy from Amazon….get the best phones out there for the best price.

So about this phone. I have MINT MOBILE. I am in rural NW Georgia about 70 miles from Atlanta. For LTE I need bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 66 and 71. For 5G n41, n66, n71. 5G UW won’t work, but who cares. This phone that I bought has bands 2,4,5,12,66 and n41 n66. You lose out on the promoted T-Mobile band 71 on LTE and 5G, but you get LTE band 12 which is High Power, Low Frequency. I have had ZERO issues here in NW GA in town or even today on a hike in the country. I have seen 5G as fast as 471 down and 8.3 up…. 121/7.4 on LTE. There was no activation issues, etc. Now I had Mint (T-Mobile) already, so active SIM card and just popped it in the Xiaomi…..worked like a champ! I put my wife’s Tello card in…..works just as well with 352/6.5 5G and 71/5.2 LTE. Again…no issues.

Cannot speak how this will work with ATT per their not certified issue, but Mint and Tello will work fine!

This phone is beyond awesome. I paid 314 for this. The camera IMO is better than the S23….video is better, battery…..I got 34h 23m on the first charge. Amazing. And again, I got the EU charger with an adapter, but if you want the 67w US charger, you can find them on Amazon for 19 bucks. So for 333 you have a phone that is comparative to a flagship 800-1300 price. This is why Xiaomi is the best.

Again, I have had NO ISSUES at all. None. And again, I live in the rural part of NW Georgia….out of the city….no coverage issues at all. I was even in Sam’s last night testing this. Cinderblock made Sam’s, rebar….a signal nightmare. Was getting 33 down and 4.2 up…..zero issues.

If you do not want this model phone, I cannot stress enough that Xiaomi is one stop shop, find a model from them and go. Case, charger, to specs phone, 5000mh batteries…..for half the cost if not more of iPhone, Samsung, and Google.

Last thing….as soon as I fired this up…..it updated. Updated from MiUI 14 to the new Xiaomi HyperOS….and…..(drum roll) to Android 14! Yeah……all for 314…..

Use that site, do your research on the bands and if you are ATT….try your luck….if not, move to Mint or Tello and you will be good to go.

    Hope this helps everyone!
