Samsung is foraying into a new smart devices range with the launch of its first smart ring dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Ring at the Unpacked July event. The Galaxy Ring is a convenient wearable device for tracking health and making contactless payments. Similar to Galaxy Watches, the smart ring can track sleep, heart rate, and more, whilst being in a compact form factor.
Samsung Galaxy Ring specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy Ring comes in a clean and simple design, available in three colour options – Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. The frame of the wearable is made up of Titanium, making it more premium and robust. It packs a few sensors to track your sleep amongst other data. It also has LED lighting to indicate the charging status. It comes in a case that doubles up as a charging case, where you can place it inside to charge it.
The smart ring comes in nine size options and carries a weight of 2.3 grams to 3.0 grams. The smartwatch has features like Cycle Tracking to track your menstrual cycle through overnight skin temperature monitoring. It also has tracking for Sleep, Activity, Sleep Heart Rate, and Sleeping Heart Rate variability. Further, it offers Heart Rater Alerty and Live Heart Rate Check features. For sports enthusiasts, it has an Auto Workout Detection feature and also sends you an Inactive Alert if you’ve been sedentary for a while.
