So I got this for my steam deck and it initially wouldn’t connect properly. After doing a little google-ing, I found out that you have to get a USB-C cord, connect it to a laptop, download the Xbox Accessories app, and update the controller before it would properly connect via Bluetooth. So kind of a few steps before being able to properly use it, but it connected well after that. I do not like how it takes batteries instead of being rechargeable. It does come with a two pack batteries to start you off, but still weird. If it weren’t for the nice design, I’d return and get another 8Bitdo for the price. Overall it’s pretty good, but I feel like it should at the minimum be rechargeable instead of taking batteries especially for the price tag.

I orderd this because my dog decided out other controllers were a chew toy. When they came in, they were easy to hook up and connect to the Xbox. They even came with batteries which I was not expecting. The color is bright and vibrant. The plastic is easy to clean, and yes we learned our lesson on leaving the controllers where the dog could reach them. Thank you!

Been needing a new one for so long and my husband love this one! The gold is smooth and amazing. No design mess ups. Rubber on the outside handle is nice(black and gold) and the rubber on the inside is even better on my controller. The purple tye dye is just breathtaking and I hate using it because it’s so pretty! Smooth joysticks, buttons are easy and don’t stick at all. So far my batteries don’t die so quick in these ones like they did my last controller. Same brand too.

The controller WOW’d me when I opened the box. The colors are absolutely beautiful and one of the prettiest Xbox controllers I have ever owned (and I’ve had a ton, even ones I’ve customized myself). Haven’t tested it out yet, but I will definitely edit this post once I do!
EDIT: Amazing controller!! However, in the last photo of the left joystick (and the right one has it too) it’s starting to turn a dark color and I don’t know why. Now, only my boyfriend and I use this Xbox Series X and we constantly wash our hands. Has anyone else had this issue with this controller? Otherwise it’s flawless! I’ve tried cleaning it off and it doesn’t budge.
EDIT EDIT: After a closer inspection, I believe it is NOT the joysticks getting dirty, but them actually losing their color from use, AFTER ONLY ONE WEEK!!. If this is a case I may have to buy covers that are black for it. It’s a shame. I really thought this controller was gonna last a while.

Setting it up was a piece of cake, and the wireless connection is spot-on, with minimal lag. Plus, you can use it with all sorts of devices, thanks to the Bluetooth magic.
The controls are top-notch – the improved D-pad and responsive thumbsticks give you serious gaming precision. And the Share button? Genius move! Snapping and sharing epic gaming moments just got a whole lot easier.
Oh, and no more hunting for AA batteries! The rechargeable battery and USB-C charging mean you’re always ready for action.
To sum it up, the Xbox Core Controller is a must-have if you’re serious about gaming. It’s comfy, it’s cool, and it seriously amps up your gaming experience. Microsoft nailed it with this one!
