Infinix Note 40 5G, Infinix’s latest budget smartphone, is now available for purchase in its first sale. The smartphone succeeds the Note 30 5G and comes with a few upgrades. The design has been slightly tweaked on the back, followed by its chipset, which is now slightly more powerful. Infinix Note 40 5G sale began at 2 PM on Flipkart. The smartphone is priced at Rs 19,999 for the lone 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Those with bank cards from SBI, HDFC, and Axis can get a flat Rs 2,000 discount. There’s also an exchange bonus of Rs 2,000. Flipkart offers EMI options starting from Rs 1,333 per month for those interested in financing options. Buyers in the first sale can get a free Magpad Wireless charger worth Rs 1,999.

The smartphone comes in two colour options: Obsidian Black and Titan Gold. The Note 40 5G competes with the likes of Realme Narzo 70, iQOO Z9, and even the Nord CE 4 Lite 5G.

The Infinix Note 40 5G features a 6.78-inch display with an FHD+ resolution. The AMOLED screen has a 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming support. The 10-bit punch-hole panel comes with 1300 nits of peak brightness and TUV Rheinland certification. The screen doubles up as an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security.

As for the optics, it flaunts a triple-rear camera system on the back with a 108MP main lens. It has two 2MP sensors for depth and macro shots. There’s a total of 3x lossless zoom support on the rear. Upfront, there’s a 32MP camera for clicking selfies. The camera app on the phone has several modes such as Super Night Mode, Sky Shop, Portrait Mode, and others.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 octa-cor chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and virtual RAM, taking the total RAM on the device up to 16GB. As for storage, there’s a 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It also supports wireless charging with compatible MagCse and MagPad. It boots on Android 14 OS and is advertised to receive two major Android upgrades and 3 years of security updates.
