I recently purchased a security camera on Amazon and decided afterwards that I should’ve purchased the 3 year protection plan. Instead of re-ordering, I read that you could purchase a protection plan within 30 days of item purchase, so I did. Then, in order to connect those 2 invoices, I contacted Asurion via chat to register the item with the protection plan to avoid confusion in the future should I need to file a claim. The representative was very helpful and let me know that my orders were connected and she registered it for me. Excellent experience. I hope that my product doesn’t have any issues, but I appreciate the 3-year peace-of-mind for $5.99 in case it goes bad. I filed a claim with Asurion recently and it was SOOOOO EASY, so I will buy a protection plan with every purchase from now on. So worth it!!! Thanks Amazon & Asurion. 🙂

The product is as advertised. The Tivo Bolt I received had been modified by a third party, Weaknees, to accept over the air antenna or if I want cable again, cable input. The subscription to Tivo had been activated by someone else; I had to call Tivo customer service and transfer the service to my name. The good thing about Tivo is no recurring charges for service. The service is included in the purchase price as a one time charge. Surprisingly, the wait time for tech help was less than 5 minutes. The online setup was not straight forward. After the account was moved to my name setup was quick and easy. The biggest difficulty was finding the sweet spot for antenna before programming the digital channels in Tivo. This took several attempts but now I can receive more than seventy channels including several in North Carolina. I live 25 miles south of the airport and the antenna only cost 30 dollars! I made the change because Dish had lost access to NBC. When I tried to stream NBC, I found tfour showshat I had to be affiliated with a subscription service like Xfinity, Direct TV, etc. So I opted to try the over the air antenna. I now get all 4 of the major networks in high definition. Of course I don’t get Turner Classic Movies or ESPN or Fox South. But I can stream Netflix and Amazon through my smart tv. I will save $200 per month and the cost of my Tivo DVR will be offset in less than 2 months; quite a return on investment. With my Tivo I can record four shows at the same time and I can skip through ads. I have only had it for three days, but I am very happy with it.

I purchased a USB C hub for my iMac. Don’t know why I purchased this protection plan because I never do and I never have the need for one…sure glad I did. My hub quit working, I called Asurian, they verified what they needed to verify, I packed it up with the prepaid sticker, took it to UPS, came home and the next day I had an email with a credit for the hub. Couldn’t have been easier. Easy-peasy. Now I need to find out how to purchase a new plan for the hub I just purchased.

DVD player is working well. The description says it is Senior Friendly. People need to understand we Seniors for the most part aren’t electronic nor internet savvy. It took us a week and a few calls to my nephew before I got to enjoy my DVD’S. In 1965 I had to get a electric calculator my parents were at a loss to assist me and they and other parents told our teacher we would not learn math if we cheated using a calculator. Manufacturers make it easier for us baby boomers please.
