I purchased my GoPro Hero9 Black in July 2022 and am super happy with it! It’s my first GoPro and I’m happy I purchased this. Since purchasing it, I have brought it along with me on all my hikes and have used it underwater once so far and it’s amazing! I used it once on a multi-pitch rock climb and it took all the videos and photos I needed. I haven’t taken it out for any ice climbing or winter hiking yet….but will do soon and hope to update my review. The Hero 10 had come out but heard it was still buggy, and bought the Hero 9 instead. I am 75 years old and love to take pictures all the time. And I decided I wanted a GoPro 9 Black just be,cause it’s water proof and small. What a BIG surprise I got. This little camera is amazing! I’ve taken time lapse pictures and posted online. I’ve taken more videos that were beyond me before the GoPro 9 came into my life. Now I can do it everyday if I want. I do not need a special program to edit them it’s all part of buying a GoPro, it comes with its own easy edit program and I love it. If you buy one you will be pleasantly surprised by the smallest camera that can do more the my big DSLR, which cost hundreds more. This I carry in a pocket and it takes better pictures. I am not a pro at this but I still love to take great pictures. And I get great photos and better videos then I ever thought I could ever do. I think the GoPro 9 Black is all a person needs. It is made for us that travel or just love to take pictures at home. You do need to buy a charger with 2 extra batteries though. Then your set for life to come to you. The only thing I miss on it is a better zoom. But I have the DSLR for that. Still I give it 10 gold stars. ❤️

Ok value, but lots of others out there to pick from. I don’t like the idea of paying for a subscription to be able to use or download you pictures off of a device that you just spent $400+ Should be set up to readily use generic free video downloading and editing software.

Having used a GoPro Hero 3 for years, getting the Hero 9 was a major upgrade. I wish the battery life was longer, but the video quality is super, and the phone app adds so much more versatility to the unit. I’m very happy indeed with this purchase.

camera is good, haven’t get to use it yet but when I turn it on at night, low light is not that good. battery life isn’t really that good on single battery. and the side panel under the power button is broken. there’s a small chip on it. will be returning.
