It held to the windshield of my motorcycle thru heat, rain and some very rough roads. I secured a lanyard to it but never needed it. I am very pleased with its performance and easy to mount dismount function.

This GoPro Suction Cup Mount was used to mount my Hero 8 Black GoPro on top of my autocross car. Suction cup mounting area was cleaned thoroughly before attaching the suction cup. And the car was driven on the street and freeways as well as track without any issues. I did loop a strong/thin rope to the base of this mount which was attached to a grab handle by my window pillar, just in case the mount decides to detach.

Attached this suction cup to the front of the screen (which is curved) on my motorcycle (note the screen was thoroughly cleaned first). Left it untouched for a week, then attached my action camera and did a 305 mile trip on very harsh and bumpy Scottish roads. The mount never moved and held the camera very steadily. This is well worth the money.

Bought this to stick to the side of my car to film a day’s drifting with the mindset that it was an official accessory, expensive and should do the job no problem. I cleaned the flat panel I was using before mounting it, attached it and seemed sturdy enough. It lasted roughly 10 minutes of low speed track action before losing suction and falling off. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware that it had fallen off and annoyingly it had positioned itself right into the driving line. This meant that when I returned on my next lap I hit my camera directly with my rear tyre causing it to kick up into a fence leaving a large chip in the lens and ultimately ruining the camera and mount. Use a mount with 3m sticky pad if you’re planning on using this on anything that isn’t stationary or care about your camera

I used this on the inside of the car (watch the space on my youtube channel, check my amazon profile for the link). The suction mount came with more accessories than I though. It has two short mounts (quick and screw one) and an arm that extends the mount and turns it 90o. I haven’t tested it on the outside, but will certainly do so. In terms of security, I strongly recommend to get a metal cable and a carabiner to secure GoPro in the event of suction mount failure. This was a great addition to our existing mounts as we wanted a GoPro looking out our rental car dash and rear window while driving Italy. This mount was very strong and held the GoPro 11 solidly! Only issue we had was the Gopro 11 itself — it would overheat every 13-14 min (sent it back) — so have a great mount but only 1 GoPro (7) at this time. LoL

Although received the mount on time when I attached to the windscreen of my car there was considerable movement and wobble with the mount even before I tried to take a video whilst driving. There is either a fault with the mount supplied to me or the product overall. For an original GoPro mount at this price I would expect much better quality. Save you money and buy the much cheaper generic mounts. I have requested a refund and the company has refused to provide a refund of the delivery or return postage

this suction cup is the far the greatest one ive ever owned and used. super strong (when applied Correctly) please clean surface and also silicone cup before using.
Tested on Bmw M3 – country route, 145mph and it did not budge or come off. Also Pulled out a crownless dent from my other car. really impressed. worth every penny.
