I really really like this laptop BUT my main purpose is to use it for ZOOM calls for work. I work remote and use it on a daily basis. Because of that, I am returning it. Unfortunately, the video camera does not work. It freezes and lags. At first I thought it was the wifi but I tested the speed and it was great. I tried from multiple locations, house, library, hotel etc. Then my IT friend suggested I make sure all updates have been done. I spent SO LONG making sure to have everything installed properly. He also said it doesn’t look like it was wiped properly because there was stuff on it that shouldn’t be. Every time it turns on it says “Michigan Medicine” on the black screen. Weird. Anyways… after many tests, I pulled out my old laptop and ran ZOOM at the same time, side by side on the same network. My old laptop worked perfectly. We even downloaded Skype to see if it was a ZOOM or camera issue. Skype didn’t work either. I tried testing the camera from the settings and it was black (see photo) or it was a frozen image. We determined there is something wrong with the camera and I need to return it. I’m bummer because I like it otherwise. Everything else was great about it- the speed, design, ease. I’m not sure if I’ll risk it again and buy another refurbished laptop or just shell out the big money for a new one. Just wanted to post an honest review for those who are like me and actually read these things. I hope it’s helpful.

Happy with Laptop despite coming without promised o/s system (Windows 10) – luckily our IT Guy was able to put it on for me without an issue. Without him though I would have been stuck as I am not Computer savvy myself. I guessed it was an oversight though and the quality of product over price is excellent 👌

This laptop has been great. It runs fast and the graphics are clear. The only downside is unfortunately a big one. The battery life is really short. I can maybe get 3 hours on it. But I do have to say that it’s a fast charging laptop. The battery is the only reason I’m knocking it down a star.

This is a pretty good model – seems very quick. As reconditioned, mine had a few marks on the case, so clearly not new, but seems to work fine. Battery life is about 6 hours – far more than my previous laptop but less than what is promised by HP for a new model. I miss the number pad on the RHS and would prefer a bigger scree tbh, but these are my preferences and screen size ane keyboard are pretty standard – quite difficult to find models with a numberpad. Overall, very happy with purchase and good to give an used machine a new lease of life and keep it out of landfill.
