Sound still comes out of my laptop rather than a tv. I tried sound settings on my laptop, but it doesn’t even recognise the hdmi cable and doesn’t give me the option to pick it. Am I doing something wrong?

yes it was long enough as my son has a movie projector and screen in the basement ,,, but the first blu ray player it would not connect as it was a older one so we had to order a new one that would connect to the wire and it did and works nicely ,,,

This HDMI cable is a thick and heavy cable, at least compared to the braided HDMI cable it’s replacing. It definitely feels like a much sturdier cable. The picture is perfect. Sound is excellent.
The only tiny issue I noted is that since the cable is so much heavier, it doesn’t flex very much compared to a braided cable when plugged into the HDMI port. It arches out a several inches before dropping down.
I use a laptop, so when I’m in some environments, I need cables to flex. If you are on a desktop, it’s probably not an issue. (I just added an elbow to the cable to help it move how I want it to move on my laptop).
I’m still going to give it 5 stars because I think the cable is solid, I should have stuck with braided cables for what I use. I’m also just going to keep using it anyways.

This product was a good buy and the only reason I gave it a 4 was because I have to take the chord out once or twice before it the picture from the laptop will display on the tv. Overall, the chord is thick and durable, the picture is clear, the sound is clear and it was very affordable for a 15ft chord! I would definitely purchase again or recommend.

I also have the braided Ivanky HDMI cable. Which I prefer. But this one is cheaper and does exactly the same. I got it for my in laws so they could link the laptop to the TV for Zoom meetings. It works perfectly. The fittings and cable feel strong and durable.

I love these cables, but now one decided to stop working properly, it has to be bent in a certain position for it to work which is kinda upsetting tape to the rescue!
