I bought this because of recommendations and because there was no timeline for the release of the Steam Dock. This dock’s resolution is 720p and both keyboard and mouse inputs are very laggy. I tried to play using it and could barely play, but I kept it because there was no alternative. I just got a steam dock today. Massive difference. The resolution goes to 4k and both the keyboard and mouse work well. The official dock is more expensive but it’s worth it.

  2. Alleycat

This was bought for my grandson. He says that it is one of the best gifts that he has ever received. Super easy to dock his steam deck.

  3. J.C.Grandy

I thought I was buying the updated version. It cost 55.00 Canadian less than a month ago, now it is 10 dollars cheaper. I will buy the Steam Deck version as JSAUX has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This docking station is fine. It’s got Pros and Cons that I’ll list below but the overall view is the dock is great for hooking all external devices once other then the Steam Deck itself. Perfect for the living room.

    Pros
    -Cheap
    -Made out of aluminum
-Has a Network Jack (Really handy to install game direct connected)

    Cons
-Doesn’t come with a power cable
    -Only has one monitor out
-USB ports on the back became very loose after a week of moving my headset between the dock and my computer.

This being said, I knew what I was getting when I bought it other then the USB issue. I plan on getting the official docking station and connecting it up to my work monitors and using the Steam Deck in desktop mode. If you just want an extra dock to connect up to the living room TV and use a bluetooth controller, this dock is perfect aside for having buy an extra charging cable.

This dock works just fine with my steam deck. It is the most basic model available however. If you want faster, transfer rates from the USB ports, I would much recommend going with the higher spec dock.

  6. Samantha

I love that it works right out of the box I haven’t had any problems I mainly use it to play games on my tv

  7. Will Tomlinson

There’s not much to say. It works as designed, and the materials seem to be.much higher quality that what I was expecting. I had no issues with either one I bought.

  8. Wayne B.

It’s good. All metal construction, good set of ports, can’t complain. If you have a Steam Deck and need accessories, JSAUX stuff is legit, and this dock is no exception.

  9. Ella Ella

I bought this because Valve’s dock is too expensive. This works just fine. It holds my deck, plugs into the smart TV, and works with no setup required. Happy with my purchase.

  10. Darryl d’Entremont

I plugged my stem deck in and the deck keeps restarting. Seems like it’s not getting enough power?. Soon after my steam deck won’t run off battery anymore even though it says it’s full, only when the charger is plugged in directly. I went through steam customer service, tried some things. Ended up having to send it to them on rma. I’m pretty sure this product borked my deck. I’m not willing to plug it in again to see for sure when I get it back, the thought is terrifying.

Delivers what it promises- it simply just works. Arguably not as good as the official dock, and is not 100% guaranteed to work with the Steam Deck forever, but for the price I now have a miniature desktop. The stand is of a fairly high quality plastic, the stand has some weight to it that helps keep the Deck standing up, and the connections are all solid with no play in them. If it ever breaks I will get an official deck dock, but this one really feels well so far.

One of the USB ports doesn’t seem to recognize input. I should have got the one with the SSD enclosure.

  13. Robin

It does exactly what it is suppose to do. The Steam Deck looks great on a big screen. I highly recommend.
