Contrary to what most reviews here say, this is not a silent mouse. Those claiming it to be silent have not used a truly silent mouse. It’s sold here on Amazon and I had it for few years and it was time to get new one. So I bought this based on reviews and cheaper price. I returned it the same day. It is not silent! Getting the truly silent mouse instead, the one I am replacing, JSCO Noiseless Silent Gaming Mouse JNL-101K. It’s completely silent. No click, silent!

The optical tracking seems accurate and it is silent but every other aspect of the mouse feels cheap
The USB cable is a third thinner than Logitech or Microsoft mice and the thin plastic feels like one drop on a solid floor would shatter it
I paid £16 for it, feels like an £7-8 product

As soon as I plugged the Macally Silent Wired Mouse in to my MacBook I new I had a winner. It is wired which I love. My experience with wireless models has been terrible, so wired was a must for me. The Macally mouse is hyped as being silent, slim, and compact and it is all three, but contrary to some other reviewer comments, the mouse doesn’t feel cheap, toy-like, or tiny. In fact, the Macally Silent mouse, in my opinion, is just the opposite. It feels solid and well built, feels really nice and comfortable in your hand, and is smooth as silk to operate. And wow is it quiet. Highly recommended.

I need to avoid having clicks and clacks bleed into mics for a YouTube setup. This is the right mouse for the job! Couldn’t be more pleased with the noise profile.
I do however want to echo the complaints of some other users; it’s flat profile makes it uncomfortable to use for long periods of time. A good mouse fills the palm of the hand with more body.
Now.., if only I could find a silent keyboard…

Bereits beim Auspacken der Maus fiel die geringe Höhe auf, auf der meine Hand nicht ruhen kann und ich habe nicht die größten Hände. Das Material wirkt billig und hat die Anmutung wie ein 5-Euro Artikel. Dafür ist sie wirklich leise. Das kann die mangelnde Ergonomie nicht wett machen. Fazit: Vielleicht für kleine Frauenhände geeignet.

I’ve been a fan of Macally mice and keyboards for decades. I’ve always been happy with them and they were products that performed better and lasted longer than the budget-friendly pricing would imply.
So far, this is living up to my expectations. It still has the great look and feel I’ve always appreciated from Macally, and it’s got some great improvements over the last one I bought for about the same price at least a decade ago. The new color design makes it look more compact and neater without making it smaller. Nice design! And the silent clicks are great! There’s just enough kinesthetic feedback to let you know you’ve clicked without there being a kid clicking sound. I can’t believe it took so long for this development in mouse tech!
I haven’t played with the resolution adjustment yet, but I love where they put the control. It’s right where you’d want it without being in the way.
Good job, Macally! It’s nice to see that some Mac accessory companies still think about the user experience long after Apple has forgotten that’s what used to make them great.

This replaced an older mouse whose cable was nearly severed (from years of movement) where it connects to the mouse. This new mouse has a rubber insulation at the point of connection to the mouse. The older mouse had no such protection. I like that this Macally mouse has a primary button, a secondary button, and a wheel — for easy scrolling. I’m very pleased with this mouse.

I needed a corded mouse and ordered this based on some mixed reviews. It’s been about 3 weeks of home office use and it works just fine. I haven’t had any issues. My husband works in the computer industry and he has commented that it’s a pretty good mouse for the price, I agree this is a no frills basic mouse that get’s the job done.

My wireless mouse started jumping everywhere on the screen; pretty frustrating. I though that if I purchased a new wired mouse I could solve the problem but it didn’t. I liked the feeling of the new Macally Silent USB Mouse but it didn’t solve the problem of the cursor acting on its own. I received a message from the seller to rate the mouse so I did. I told them that it did not solve my cursor jumping problem. I immediately received a response and the suggestion was to unplug my computer board and switch things up. I followed the suggestion and everything is working great thanks to their customer support. The mouse works great like a mouse should. It’s a mouse but with the cost, support and response I highly recommend this product! That’s why I’m giving them 5 stars.

Es un buen artículo, es muy silencioso, pero no el botón de en medio no tanto, los botones no son muy suaves, debes presionar con suficiente fuerza para que haga la función. Lo compré para sustituir el mouse de mi iMac, creo que ese mouse es muy pesado y con el home office se hizo insufrible. Este es una buena opción, creo que tiene a veces problemas de conectividad, pero es ligero como lo buscaba y súper silencioso. En cuanto a los DPI, tiene cuatro opciones y la última (2400) me parece fantástica. Todavía no sé si me lo quedaré, pero por ahora estoy satisfecha, creo que el mouse de mis sueños todavía no existe, ja, ja, ja, ja.
