This works as intended, difficult to plug the wires together so I messed up the first one. But the second one worked perfectly for my new ssd. It looks so much cleaner than the cheap other wires that come with it!

I liked this powered data cable because it’s very well made. ‘it’s extremely easy to install and I used it on a Sata III port on my Apricorn Velocity Solo PCI card (yes, it’s that old) I suppose on my old Asus Essentio CM1630, the nanoseconds do make a difference especially in my post time. It comes with 2, so I have an extra Sata 6 powered cord. I tried the extra one on my SAS compatible Sea gate Barracuda but it didn’t make much difference for the hard drive, but, with an SSD I shaved a few nanoseconds of my post time. I don’t think you’ll really find a deal like this with other SATA III compatible cords because they prbly need to be powered, and this cord is! It’s really fine and very well made, insulated and easy to install.

The plastic around the SATA connection on my 2.5″ SSD drive broke, making it so an SATA cable would not stay seated. The plastic around the power connection was fine and using this 2-in-1 cable allowed both connections to work properly, saving the drive and all the effort of setting up a new one.
