Works great

This adapter DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter works great and no issue displaying videos, good image quality. I was able to display 2K video without any issues. The material is nice quality – it feels solid when holding in hand and has good amount of weight to it. It does not wobble when it is connected to the DP port, fits perfectly. I wish the price is more affordable – 2 of these for $14 is bit price.

Needed these to connect an HP mini desktop PC to a TV. So far they are working good.
ERocko –
No issues with either of my monitors.

Great converter, but it doesn’t make good contact with my display port. I have to sometimes wiggle the converter to receive output to my display if the video drops out. One minute I’ll have video, and the next I’ll have a black screen. I have to finagle the connector in order to get the video returned. This is kind of annoying. When I do have video output, it looks great.

I tired this instead of the orig adapter cable I purchased. They worked like a champ, plug and play monitor when right up the the 75hrz it was designed for.

The description is more complete than most products of this type. It really eliminates the possibility that one might try to use the product in a way that is not intended. I really appreciate that as I often get adapters that have very narrow functional capability that isn’t suited for my intended use case.
But, in this case, I have a laptop that has a displayport video connection, and I have a TV with HDMI input. That is exactly what this device is designed for.
There are a lot of other things in the description that might lead someone to believe this might not work. It says “4K”, but way down in the description is says it’s backward compatible with other resolutions as well. I don’t have a 4K tv, but I have a 1080P TV and I have a monitor that has an odd resolution. My graphics card supports all sorts of resolutions and frame rates, so it’s no surprise that this adaptor works with my graphics card. But it also works with the TV and monitor. I expect it might work with a wide range of resolutions and frame rates.
It’s small size is both an advantage… and a disadvantage. It takes up almost no room. I can easily pack it in my laptop bag. But it has a tendency to get down into the creases of my laptop bag and get momentarily lost. It’s also easy to get it mixed with all my thumb drives. I probably should have gotten one that wasn’t black so I could easily see it in with all my thumb drives (that are black).
A lot of places have monitors with DisplayPort. But I’ve found that many places have only a TV with HDMI. Being able to connect my DisplayPort laptop to HDMI is awesome.
