I wasn’t sure if I should buy this camera, because the YouTube videos that I watched complained about the the poor sound of the recordings. The sound quality is far better than what I saw on YouTube. I was disappointed when I checked all the goodies that came with the camera, one of the two batteries wouldn’t take a charge. I emailed the company to see if I could replaced the damaged battery. They responded immediately and said that they would replace the battery and asked if there was any thing else they could help me with. When I received what I thought was the replacement battery, I found two batteries, a charger, and a charging cable! I am very satisfied with my purchase and I am planning on buying another one. At this price and with such amazing support from the Akaso I can’t go wrong.

I got one of these after playing with a gopro at work. Finally tipped me into wanting an action camera. But the pricing was ridiculous. Doing a bunch of reading and researching reviews and sample images and video gave me the prompt to try this camera and I admit, I love it. With an accessory kit to allow me to mount it on my helmet and my bike it can act as a dash cam etc. The footage is great, the image stabilization is surprisingly good. I see a lot of fun video with this going forward.

The secret of Akaso Brave 7 is all in the settings.
One of my favorite combinations is switching between Natural and Gorgeous in the Filter settings. At night, I use Night Scene for a more natural video quality at night. White Balance: Switching between Auto, Daylight and Cloudy depending on the weather. Timelapse at 0.5 sec interval is just perfect and fun to watch. Video Encode at H.264 can be easily edited. Image Stabilization for smooth walking and running. Slow motion for some dramatic scenes.
The camera itself has a solid quality build. Battery use is just right for video recording, picture taking and frequently changing the settings. I like its remote control for switching between video and photo (record and taking pictures) without pressing the Power Button. It can also automatically switch off both the remote control and the camera.

I emailed customer support, and they promptly sent me a replacement housing. Now, that latch really isn’t well made, so I don’t have any reason to believe it will last, but I appreciated their great support.]
The camera is fine – it’s no Gopro or Osmo, particularly with respect to image stabilization, but it gets the job done at a cheap price. Note that the sound quality on recordings is terrible — if that’s important, skip this product. The app is also a disappointment.

I plan on using the camera to record motorcycle trips. I was worried about image stabilization so I tested in my truck as a dash cam and by moving it around free hand. The results were better than expected and believe this little camera will fit my needs perfect. I am sure it isnt the same quality image as the he name brands but then I am not going to be releasing Hollywood movies. I just want to document some of our experiences and have the ability to share with friends. Con: Sound recording isnt great and I was aware of this from some youtube reviews before I purchased. This was not important to me but it may be to someone else. If you want to do voice recordings I would plan on some type of external microphone

I think this is a great camera for the price and good for someone who is not a pro. If you need an action camera with a limited budded this camera does everything well and come very well equipped. You would be hard pressed to find something comparable at this price point. I use tis on my motorcycle for video. The only real problem with this camera is capturing sound, which is very difficult to get quality sound without wind noise or without the camera mic breaking up the sound. You can use external mic which will help. Still a good camera with very good quality pictures and video.

For its price, there is a ton of accessories, and the video taken is quite decent. The unit feels well built.
Problem is that the one I received has issue turning on the wifi – it gets stuck on the screen, and I have to manually reset the camera to get it back to a responsive state. No way I can turn on the wifi, it hangs the entire unit. App connectivity is a key reason I bought this. Contacting tech support, hopefully this gets resolved.

Bought this for my 8yo daughter for Christmas. She loved it and spent the next several days recording her entire life. She’s not the most stable camerawoman but the image stabilization made the videos come out very clear regardless. The picture is really high quality for such a cheap camera, and the audio is pretty clear as long as she’s not blocking the mic or making too much background noise.

We recently went on a cruise and got this camera to play with on our adventure. The picture quality is superb! We got excellent pictures on the beaches and an amazing video of our trip along the mountain pass in an open bus. Wow! What a trip and what a camera! Make sure you purchase the accessory kit to go along with this.
