This is an HDMI cable but the body of it has fiber optic rather than copper conductors. This is made primarily for in wall installations. From my experience fiber optics are very fragile so this is not a cable that you want to move around a whole lot and keep changing location or devices. This is not the kind of cable you want to run out to your projector when you’re showing a movie on your garage. Although it would definitely serve that purpose for a while, you risk damaging the delicate internals.
I would recommend installing it very carefully and then letting it stay put.
I was able to get a flawless 8K signal with full Dolby Atmos support. That’s about as much data as you can send along current HDMI communication channels. And it is traveling a much longer legnth than most copper cables will support. This is because they have optical converters at each end of the cable. You’re getting those sick roll degradation like you would with metal conductors. So I’m very happy with the cable and I don’t intend to fights with it very much so hopefully it will last for many many years.
I’ve had a very good experiences with cables from this company so I have a high degree of confidence. More importantly I think I finally got an expensive HDMI cable that was actually worth the money that they charge. This is not a $10 cable that is selling for $100. This is a cable that is using advanced fiber optic optical technology and conversion chipsets on each end that has the maximum been with that the HDMI protocol allowance. You’re not gonna find this kind of cable at a gas station.
