I actually ended up recieving a gopro hero 8. Im not entirely sure how or why that happened but hey im not complaining. Because the 8 is obviously going to be better than the 6 it wouldn’t really matter if i praised the quality or stability.
However, i can say that there are still a few issues. The battery life is awful for some reason. Im sure lots of other reviews say that. Another thing is the camera can’t record slow motion. Whenever I try the video turns out glitchy and dark.
Other than those few issues it works great. I’ve had mine for maybe a month or two now.

I bought one to record my Tennis matches and for that it works great. I have never owned a gopro before. Only problem is the battery life is simply not acceptable and I’m only recording at 1080p 60. Camera works great so far though so I guess you just have to have extra batteries or know in advance you aren’t going to record any longer than about 45 minutes. But as far as quality (awesome), features (aplenty) and ease of use (simple) it’s great. App needs a lot of work but it’s ok. Get a high quality sd micro card with the highest data rates you can find ( pro type cards only ). I’ll be buying a separate battery charger too soon which I recommend – with extra battery like the official one comes with.

I got this because of the price. I know, refurbished products are hit or miss — there’s a reason why someone returned them, right?
So, I got this and played around with it. The battery was reading wrong at times — showing 0% battery when it’s just charged. I would open the battery compartment and press on the battery and close — back to reading 100%. This happen often enough to get me upset. I wasn’t sure if it was the battery issue or the GoPro issue. In any case, I was going to return it, but then my son dropped the GoPro and broke the lens cover. LOL.
What can I do? I bought another lens cover, and now I am keeping the GoPro. The battery problem persists, but I am going to live with it. I can’t get mad at my son, right?

el empaque no es el original de go pro, viene en un empaque de Amazon donde detallan la garantía y trae algunos accesorios, pero me ahorre muchísimo dinero, la cámara funciona de maravilla, la calidad es excepcional, no viene con memoria, hay que comprar una aparte, y si necesitas más accesorios yo los compré aquí mismo en Amazon por no mas de 300 pesos un kit con más de 50 piezas y un estuche para la cámara
en general no se nota que es producto reacondicionado , parece nuevo y comparado con mi otra cámara (también goPro) que sí compre nueva (no era reacondicionada) no noto ninguna diferencia, muy probablemente compre otra puesto que mi novia quiere una

El control de calidad de los productos re-acondicionados por go pro deja mucho que desear. Compre 3 cámaras, 2 en Amazon y 1 en otra plataforma. En 2 de ellas se congelaba la imagen al grabar algunos videos, otra presentaba 8 pixeles muertos. Despues de ver estos problemas ni si quiera intente que me cambiaran el producto, mejor opte por regresarlas. Afortunadamente con Amazon no tuve problemas para realizar la devolucion.

Funciona pero relación precio-calidad me queda debiendo. A la par vi en la página de GoPro y tenían descuentos siendo productos nuevos y la GoPro 7 tenía el mismo precio que ésta, solo que no había envíos a Mx y ya la necesitaba para el nacimiento de mi bebé. Hasta ahora le han salido detalles de que no reconoce al 100% los comandos de voz, se “talló” muy rápido una equina con el protector que incluía (la he desmontado no más de 5 veces por lo que no debería ser un tema aún) y en ocasiones no responde a la acción que estás realizando (como tomar un video o una foto y regresa a la pantalla anterior).

The camera has so many options that it takes a while to get used to. The camera gets warm when in use. The Quik software is, however, brain damaged. I changed the folder into which I want to store videos, and now I cannot use Quik to play them. I used Windows 10 remove package and re-installed. All the options are still in effect, and I still cannot get to any of the videos through Quik. The person who wrote Quik did not have to use it.
I give the camera 5 stars; but the software only 2 stars.

No tuve ningún problema con la cámara en cuestión de funcionamiento, mas que lo que ya es normal en GoPro, de que se calienta la cámara.
El detalle realmente esta en que en la pantalla de la cámara se observaba un diminuto punto blanco, el cual de momento no afectaba su funcionamiento, y reconozco que es un producto re acondicionado, pero experiencia con otros productos a si empiezan con un ligero pixel muerto, hasta que termina de falla la pantalla a si que tuve que solicitar devolución, una pena ya que la calidad de vídeo y estabilidad de imagen son muy buenos por el precio de la cámara.

This is my first GoPro and I was trying to keep my budget around $200 so this caught my eye. The product arrived like new besides the packaging that it comes in. Everything functions as intended and I was able to start using with rather quickly. It is very small and lightweight and can be used for almost any purpose which is why they are so popular. My two biggest gripes are the lack of external microphone options because you must purchase a separate adapter that is over $50+ and I’ve read it has constant issues and the 2nd thing is poor battery life you will be lucky to get 1.5-2 hours depending on your recording options. I have been happy with it so far and took it to Costa Rica to capture some great footage I definitely recommend this renewed GoPro as a cheaper alternative.

I got this to function as a dash cam for my motorcycle after an idiot was driving his black mustang convertible and almost hit me and others when he was swerving between lanes – he was driving like he was playing GTA, including slamming on the brakes to try and get a rear end collision on an off ramp all during commute hours, so very heavy traffic.
There aren’t really any good options for motorcycles for dash cameras so I decided to try this. Recording at 4K 60FPS provides a very clear still image (see the attached picture – I’ve blanked out the license plates but they are very readable). The battery life is ok, it looks like it should last about 1-2 hours, my 30+ min commute recording at 4K60 leaves the battery with ~60% remaining.
A couple of tips: To get the superwide field of view you need to drop down to 4K30, but the gain on the width is very small so I’m leaving it at a higher FPS to try and get less motion blur, although I’m still playing around with it.
I have this mounted with a RAM mount suction cup that I got a few years ago. It’s not ideal since the mount doesn’t accept the larger GoPro thumb screw, but it does work and holds the camera stable enough that the playback with image stabilization is pretty good (maybe the Hero7 will be slightly better – but this is very usable).
The touch screen on the back of the Hero6 is very intuitive and easy to use and the ability to press and hold the record button to turn on and start recording video is very convenient, especially when wearing gloves.
The only item to be aware of when buying something like this as “renewed” or refurbished, is the camera may be attached to the previous owners account, so I strongly recommend you do an immediate factory reset if you buy used. My camera arrived and was registered to the previous owner Francisco, a quick factory reset kept his and my privacy secure.

So I have a GoPro Hero 3+ and thought it was about time to upgrade to something better. I started my search and quickly remembered that new GoPros aren’t very cheap.. so I decided to try out a “Renewed” GoPro Hero 6 and so far I am glad I did. After opening the box, I was surprisingly shocked how new the camera actually looked. It came with a decent case, battery, charger, and a few 3M tape mounts. I took the case off of it and didn’t see a single scratch, dent or even a little blemish. The screens all had the plastic over them as if this camera was brand new from a store. I put in the battery (which was completely dead) and charged the camera up to 100%. The touchscreen works, all the picture modes work, the battery keeps a charge. Honestly, this camera seems like they made a mistake and sent me a brand new one instead of a renewed version. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a GoPro and not wanting to spend a ton of money on a brand new one.
