I recently got a new HP computer. The mouse that came with it was wired, which neither here not there to me, I can deal with either. However, it was a large mouse and very uncomfortable. I found myself always reaching over it to get my finger in the right position. I do, however like the smaller mouse I use with my laptop. Which is why I ordered this mouse. It fits my hand perfectly. My only problem with it, is the on/off switch. It’s not only tiny, but the light to let you know if it’s on or off is hard to see. Other than that, it’s perfect.

This mouse is perfect for working on papers/assignments. I haven’t really played games with it besides Stardew Valley so I can’t comment on its ability as a gaming mouse. The mouse is on the smaller side but it makes it great for traveling (I also don’t mind that it’s on the smaller side. It still feels nice while I’m doing work). Overall it’s a great mouse and I don’t really have any issues with it.

I’ve given this awful product a 5 star review so others will read this warning and avoid at all cost. DO. NOT. BUY.

Not only was this product not as advertised, it didn’t even work! I could forgive a product not being exact to the written description but to not work as well was the straw that broke this camel’s back. After hours of scouring the web for a solution, the result was the same. Updating drivers didn’t help. Trying different USB slots didn’t help. Using a brand new battery instead of the one it came with didn’t help. Even trying to use the logitech software itself didn’t work because it wouldn’t even detect this mouse! The whole thing reeks of SCAM. To further my theory, I decided to check the serial number on both the packaging and the device itself. Lo and behold, they didn’t match up. All in all, I ended up frustrated, scammed and stuck having to return a mouse that never worked in the first place nor was it even the one I thought I was purchasing. Amazon should be absolutely mortified that this type of activity is being committed through their platform, it makes all parties involved look scummy.

TLDR; this mouse is trash, save your money and buy from a reputable dealer.

This “mini-mouse” fits in the hand perfectly! The left and right buttons work well and the scroll/click wheel operate smoothly. The mouse is very easy to install.
This is the third one I have purchased and they all have worked flawlessly for many years!
Only one slight complaint, the plastic on this 2022 model is not as smooth to the touch as the older models. It does not feel as “quality-like” as my other M185 mice.
Also, don’t be worried in that the logo on this mouse shows “Logi”. Logi is the same Swedish based company as Logitech. Logitech has changed their name. This mouse IS NOT a “knock-off” item.

This is a great, basic wireless mouse. I appreciate that the dongle is compact. It doesn’t protrude from the computer (other than about half an inch) and it fits inside the casing for travel. It’s not a travel-sized mouse – it’s a regular mouse – but this feature makes it portable.

There’s a simple scroll wheel, and the standard right and left click buttons. It works smoothly and doesn’t skip (I use a mouse pad designed for wireless mice to reduce the ‘drag’ – this might also help).

The mouse came in an ‘easy open’ clam pack – which meant I didn’t scythe off my thumb trying to get it open like with regular clam shell packaging (Logitech’s small but surprisingly meaningful attention to detail here).

Logitech claims the battery will last about one year. That’s a great claim. It does come with a tab that you pull out of the battery casing – this safeguard makes it already better than most basic mice’s batteries. There’s an on-off switch on the bottom of the mouse, and it enters ‘sleep’ mode to conserve battery life.

In sum, there’s nothing that this mouse is really lacking for the average computer user. The Logitech name means quality – I see they even have a 3 year warranty (unsure of its limitations, if any, as I’ve not read the fine print). If anything changes, I’ll update this review. But so far, so great!

I bought two units to replace two identical units that were getting old. They work fine, as expected. But one negative: the “Setpoint” program, a good little app which lets you configure the mouse and alerts, does not seem to recognize the new mice. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled a new download, but still no dice. Of course, you can configure the mouse using the Windows control panel, but I liked the alerts when the battery gets low and other events. Logitech’s support section shows that this is a common issue, so they should fix this with an updated app. But instead, they recommend uninstalling the app, doing a “clean boot” and then reinstalling…and rebooting again. I guess I’ll get around to trying that, but this is plainly an issue that shouldn’t be happening. Funny that two different PCs using the older mouse both had the same problem with the new mouse.

I’ve had Logitech mice for years – have tried others and always come back to them. They’re a solid, basic, functional, long-lasting device. I like the size; I have a smaller hand and it’s very comfortable to use.

  11. i_s_t

This is a basic mouse – OK for a normal work. It is also small enough to be a travel mouse. However, computers sometime can lose it, for unknown reason – to keep working one needs to reconnect the mouse’s receiver (turning on/off mouse itself does not help). It’s not a ‘deal breaker’, but can be inconvenient.

  12. Jacob

I have large hands so most wireless mice ive bought were too small, but this one feels comfortable to hold and use, its a perfect replacement to the trackpad on my laptop too

  13. Richard

I bought it for my laptop and it’s small enough to pop in the travel bag but large enough to be comfortable to use.
