Nice android smartphone, comes with a lot of features and worked perfectly with AT&T. The SIM card tray was missing but amazon took care of that. Camera is not outstanding and sound is average. Recognized a 128GB micro SD card without problems.

I’m not really a phone person. I kind of need one just to text every so often or kill time in a doctor’s office or when I don’t care much and don’t want to pull my digital camera out, but mostly I use it as a podcast player and to pair with my guitar for backing tracks or a metronome.

Given that, it is a great value. I get great 5G coverage, and better phone/texting coverage than my previous few phones. It switches seamlessly between being out and about and getting back on WiFi, and paired with Google Voice the sound is great. Much of the value in this phone for me is it is still one of the least expensive 5G phones, and killing time waiting around by watching TikTok or reddit or Instagram is noticeably faster.

The camera seems perfectly fine. I don’t use it much, but most of my photos are at night and sports/action, so I wouldn’t use it for either. But when taking apart an engine and capturing the steps of disassembly so I can get it back together works fine. I don’t get any blurry pictures, and there are lots of options for settings. I find doing that on the touchscreen cumbersome, so I mostly just pinch and zoom, and that works well enough. I do have my son take pictures/video of my tattoos, and the detail in the pictures is good.

I’ve had it two years now, and it is still getting updates. Previous phones, I’ve been lucky to get one update before they stopped supporting it, but it just updated about a month ago. I liked it well enough that I’ve now bought three, one for each family member. I’m obviously a troglodyte. My wife is constantly texting and on the phone and barely uses data, and she gets coverage in her office at work, unlike previous phones, and no longer drops calls. My son is in high school, and is always streaming stuff and all of the messaging apps and special team management apps for his band and rugby team. And when he’s not driving, he will look up stuff for me while I’m driving, and we’ve gotten good signals everywhere we’ve been from San Antonio to Houston to Dallas and back.

Don’t really do face unlock. So can’t comment on that…
Fingerprint scanner… 1/4 size on the right side… Pretty fast, decent speed (faster than a pin input and symbol input). But it isn’t as fast as my note 10+ or my wife’s one plus.

Decent phone for my kids… Have a few issues with the hidden app drawer… But can see why it is useful to some most people… Build quality is decent… So I hope my son makes this one last longer than 6 months lol…. 😭

The phone overall is enjoyable, as a phone. I’ve had it a few hours and been able to tinker with it and over all I really like the actual design and color and overall aesthetic of the phone. The layout I feel is really nice too, can be a bit glitchy or slow at times but it is good. I really like the finger print scanner. It came with a very slight scratch but I didn’t mind too much. My only dislike of the phone really tho, the camera quality… it’s pretty bad. You can tinker with it a bit to make it slightly better, but it really isn’t very good. But for price, not too terrible💯👍🏾.

If you don’t need a great camera, this phone checks the rest of the boxes. Good battery life, quality sound, and good resolution are all part of this inexpensive phone.

I was looking for an affordable replacement for my last phone, and this was better than I expected. I loaded my SIM card into it and 10 minutes later, everything, including contacts and apps, was up and running. This has been the easiest new phone experience I have ever had.

  7. Eric

It is a good phone for the price. If you buy this phone, please don’t expect high hopes on the camera. The camera from my Samsung S7 edge has way better quality than this one. I haven’t tested in gaming but other than that it is an okay phone for the price.

A good and cheap alternative to iPhones/ Samsung’s or other android phones. Works well. A good starter phone.
