I bought this for Christmas for my husband and son to use together and they really loved it. We had seen the DJI Mavic mini in action at a friend’s home and liked it, so I searched for it only to find out it was very expensive. So I Searched by spec and found this Syma drone with very comparable specs at a great price and with the case, spare parts and 2 batteries and I was thrilled. In previous years I had purchased Syma mini RC helicopters for them and they were really good. Both my husband and son loved the drone. They are both beginners and were able to easily set it up and start flying on Christmas day. I must say this thing is lots of fun to fly and watch on your phone. It records really high quality video and pictures. The return to home feature is great and very handy. It is also very stable for such a little drone. The battery life is as described. It is awesome to have two batteries.
However two days ago, while flying, a strong wind gust came suddenly and the drone got caught on a palm tree at a neighbor’s backyard. We couldn’t retrieve it without entering our neighbor’s backyard and so we asked them to be allowed through the back to get it and that is when we discovered we had a Grinch for a neighbor cause she absolutely refused to let my husband and son go and get the drone. We are all are disappointed and sad at the loss. So the fun lasted just a few days. Maybe next year…

Update update: customer service offered to send me a new motor or return for refund. Not a great solution took the new motor option never arrived. Today is Jan 14 2023.
Buyer beware
Update: Day 5 December 24, 2022 now this morning the Front B Motor has stopped turning on and working so now i have a paperweight, very disappointed and upset over this drone not even lasting 1 week and maybe total flight time is 6-7 hours
I love the Drones look and build and ease of operation, I have had for few days now, only issue is the camera for front stopped working in its rotation up and down and is stuck looking down now. The drone is pretty well built and soft touch, it seems controls nicely, only wish camera had not gone out so soon. Overall very happy though original intent was for photography but since camera went out and is stuck down and will not move any more, we have to look to another brand or type for our photos and videos, was so excited though for this as was in budget.

I got this drone thinking of the aerial shots I could get on trips and great B-roll. I was not disappointed.
Pros:
It feels well-built, it’s not a cheap toy and it has some heft to it.
It comes in a sturdy box with well made spare parts.
The drone and the controller pair easily and the connection is solid.
The drone pairs easily to your phone as long as you follow the directions.
Streaming footage from the drone to your phone works better-than-expected, and it shoots in full 1080P.
The controls on either the controller or your phone are intuitive, and it doesn’t take much practice to get good at movement if you’ve ever held the controller before.
The rotor’s power on the drone is strong, and it seems to fly easily, in slow and fast mode.
The battery and the signal strength held strong during the 20 to 30 minute videos that I took with the drone while airborne.
The buttons to have the drone return to the original spot work well but are kind of hit-or-miss by a couple feet sometimes.
Cons:
In my experience I found that if, while I had the drone paired to my phone and was using the app to control if; if I switched to any other app the drone would still have the screen for the connection open but it would be disconnected and need to be re-connected before it would respond.
The drones charging cable takes a while. The USB plug-in is also made of seemingly cheap plastic that I wouldn’t trust on a fast charging connection.
I really like it. It’s sleek and feels good to hold. I don’t need to worry about it bumping into something and falling to bits. It’s made well enough where the price tag is justified. If you want some fun being airborne outside or want to test out a relatively cheap* drone, this one might be for you.

It’s a fun little machine and can easy to control. It is also very durable. I flue it into the wall (accidentally) a couple of times, and crash-landed it a couple more and it was just fine. The only thing I wish I didn’t have to do is to go through all the 9 steps of setting it up for flying EVERY TIME I turn it off and then on again. I also wish all the labels for the buttons and the joystick were printed on the transmitter/remote controller itself – instead, they are printed separately on a piece of paper that I had to tape to the controller, and the 9-step instructions are on the back of that piece of paper, which is also very inconvenient. My son has fun flying it, but I do not have fun going through the 9 steps to get it ready for flying.
